If you have
little or no experience in the field, Owner Built Homes can provide
a project manager to manage part or all of the process of building
your home. The project manager will schedule contractors, ensure
quality of work, monitor progress and budget and more.
The referrals
we make are always to contractors who have worked for us in the
past or to contractors whose work we have seen and have been recommended
by others. You may choose to use our referrals or use anyone you
know or even perform some of the work yourself. We do urge that
you think thoroughly about performing any work that you have not
done before as many people experience that doing work causes extra
time and headaches, sometimes affecting the construction schedule
by weeks.
Working with
all contractors directly gives you the right to hire and schedule
anyone during the construction of your home and lets you interact
with them one-on-one. This also allows you to pay each contractor
directly, meaning you avoid paying a markup on each contractor.
Other advantages
of working with Owner Built Homes include: superior quality building
materials, utilization of suppliers where we hold accounts, and
an abundance of in-house and over-the-phone assistance. Also,
Owner Built Homes provides on-site assistance in certain situations
including but not limited to: truss issues and other engineering,
